Your Session Experience

Your headshot is often the first impression you make — on LinkedIn, your company website, or a conference bio. A strong professional image communicates confidence, approachability, and competence before you ever say a word. That's why the session itself matters as much as the final photo.

I've been photographing professionals since 2013, alongside a 35-year career in executive leadership and as an executive coach. That background shapes every session — I'm not just pointing a camera, I'm coaching you through the expression, posture, and presence that make a headshot actually work.

At my Sherborn studio, just minutes from Natick, Wellesley, and Hopkinton, every session begins with a conversation about how you want to be perceived. We'll review your wardrobe options together, then I'll coach you through posture, expression, and subtle adjustments that make the difference between a snapshot and a headshot that actually works for your career.

I keep pricing simple because I believe in transparency. One session fee, one retouched image included, and straightforward pricing for additional photos — no hidden packages, no pressure to upsell. Most clients add two or three extra images once they see the results, but that decision is always yours.

Individual Studio Session

I spent 35 years as a corporate executive. I know how important your image is — and I'll coach you until we get it right.

$395

What's Included

Your session includes one fully retouched image, perfect for professional use. However, many clients find they want more than one.

  • A formal headshot for work or LinkedIn
  • A more casual image for other platforms
  • A wider, waist-up portrait for added variety

Because everyone's needs are different, I don't believe in rigid packages. Instead, you choose the number of images that make sense for you.

Additional Images

$125

Each additional image costs $125, which includes professional retouching and high-resolution digital delivery.

What Clients Say

Jon S.
Damon was referred to me by a friend who said 'Everyone I know uses Damon.' Now I understand why. He is patient during the shoot but highly efficient, and he understands what makes a good headshot. I highly recommend Damon if you want a great business headshot.

Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly do I get for $395?

A 30–45 minute studio session with professional lighting and one fully retouched high-resolution digital image. But the real value is the coaching — I spend the entire session directing you through posture, expression, chin angle and wardrobe adjustments so the final image actually communicates confidence and approachability. That guided direction is what separates this from a cheaper studio where they just point a camera at you. Most clients add 2–3 extra images at $125 each — you'll choose your favorites and I'll retouch those. Learn more about what to expect during your session.

How many outfit changes can I do?

Bring as many as you'd like — most people bring 3–5 tops. We'll look through them together at the start of the session and pick what works best with your skin tone, the lighting and the background. Outfit changes take about 2 minutes each, so they don't eat into your session time. For detailed guidance, read what to wear for your headshot session.

How long until I receive my photos?

Retouched images are delivered within 10 business days as high-resolution digital files. You'll get a private online gallery where you can download, share and order prints. If you need a rush delivery for a deadline, let me know when you book — I can usually accommodate.

What if I'm not photogenic?

Nobody walks in feeling confident in front of a camera — that's completely normal. The coaching I do during the session is the whole reason the results look different from what you'd get at a generic portrait studio. I guide you through micro-adjustments in posture, chin angle, expression and eye direction until we land on something that looks natural and confident. Every single client leaves surprised by how good they look. Here are my tips on how to look confident in your headshot.

Can I use these photos anywhere I want?

Yes — you own full usage rights to every image you purchase. Use them on LinkedIn, your company website, social media, business cards, speaker bios, book jackets — anywhere you need a professional image. There are no licensing restrictions or additional fees.

What's the difference between a corporate headshot and a LinkedIn headshot?

They're closely related but not identical. A corporate headshot is typically shot to match company brand guidelines — consistent background, lighting and framing across a team. A LinkedIn headshot is more personal and can reflect your individual style. Most clients use the same session for both, which is exactly what this session is designed for. What's your cancellation policy?

Life happens. You can reschedule your session up to 48 hours in advance at no charge. Cancellations within 48 hours forfeit the session fee. If you're sick or have an emergency, just call — I'll work with you.

Do you require a deposit to book?

You book and pay in full in advance through the online scheduler, which includes the one fully retouched image that comes with the session fee. There's no separate deposit — the session is secured when you book. If you'd like additional images beyond the one included, you choose and pay for those at the end of the session, after you've seen them. Plans change? You can reschedule up to 48 hours in advance at no charge (see the cancellation policy above).

How do I book, and how do I get started?

It's simple — use the online scheduler on this page to pick a time that works, pay for your session, and you're set. Before your session I'll send a short prep guide with wardrobe tips and what to expect, so you arrive ready. If you'd rather talk through a team session or have questions first, just reach out and we'll sort out the details.

Can I get the RAW files?

I deliver fully retouched, high-resolution final images — not RAW files. A RAW is essentially an unfinished negative; the retouching and color work are part of what you're hiring me for, and the finished files are built to look their best everywhere you'll use them. If you have a specific technical need — a particular size, format, or color profile — just ask and I'll get you the right deliverable.

What if I'm not happy with my photos?

You review and approve every image with me before you leave — we select your finals together on a tethered display during the session, so nothing gets delivered that you haven't chosen and signed off on. That in-session approval is the real safeguard: you don't leave wondering how the photos came out, because you've already seen and picked them. Most people who dread being photographed are surprised by how much they like the result.
